RONALD BAKER QUINTET (8PM SESSION)
Ronald Baker trumpet and voice, Toni Solà tenor sax, Gerard Nieto piano, Ignasi González double bass, Xavi Hinojosa drums.
Ronald Baker, one of the great trumpeters of the last generations of American musicians in the diaspora, returns to the cellar of the Plaza Real. Born in Baltimore in 1968, Baker lives in Paris. From the Old Continent, he has achieved the title of worthy successor of the best school of performers of the piston instrument, and also of vocal jazz. With six solo albums released, his way of playing the trumpet has been compared to that of Chet Baker, Roy Eldridge and Miles Davis. As a singer, his voice is reminiscent of the rhythmic and velvety style of Al Jarreau and Georges Benson. In addition to his solo career, Baker has worked in the service of Big Joe Turner, Ricky Ford, Jesse Davis and Ignasi Terraza, among others. At the Jamboree, he has performed several times. This time he will take to the stage in a quintet formation, with a group with the best of our jazz.
Presented by Jamboree.
Evento para todas las edades (menores de 18 años con previa autorización de los padres).
