DJ Healthy's Pacific Mode is back, for the first edition of 2023, and per usual, the lineup is stacked. Second on the beill is Incienso affiliate, Kansas Ctiy producer/DJ Brian Leeds aka Huerco S. Historically Leeds has created textural ambients sounds that subverted house music's rolling ebullience, but in his most recent release *Plonk* (his first in 6 years) his sound palette has broadened to reach into the depths of trap and drill, pulling and playing with the tense shapes and rhythms throuhg his spectrum of ambience. Headlining is the Berlin-based Canada-born DJ Darwin, who has been largely responsible for bringing the bleeding edge of UK soundsystem music to techno's capital city. With her party REEF, founded in 2014, Darwin leads followers thoguh 24-hour raves that connects the dots between low-end-focused genres and breakbeat-centric styles. Expect a big night of unexpected twists and turns, dips and dives.
