**Duffy x Uhlmann**

After playing in Perfume Genius and Hand Habits, Meg Duffy and Gregory Uhlmann embarked on their first record together, *Doubles* (out September 22, 2023 on Orindal Records). A testament to the wordlessness of their musical intimacy, Duffy and Uhlmann take up the guitar in order to make an imprint of the slowness and presence of their improvisational practice. They weave together a sonic meditation, embracing intuition and relying on trust.

**Dear Nora**

Dear Nora's sound encompasses a spectrum of styles including classic rock, experimental music, ethereal pop, new age, folk, punk, and R&B. Katy Davidson (pronouns: they/she) writes lyrics with layered meanings that contemplate the vast realms and intersections of wilderness, humanity, morality, technology, late capitalism, and love. Dear Nora’s latest album, *human futures*, was released in October 2022 on Orindal Records.

**Ruth Garbus**

The music of Ruth Garbus, is a rarity, the holy wastewater of folk-rock decanted into the Lake of Avalon by a provincial plebe, turned into wine. It is sublime, and absurd, and infused with the green hills, grey cemeteries, and plastic detritus of her Brattleboro, Vermont home. Garbus’s latest album, *Alive People* (out August 25, 2023 on Orindal Records), is an elegant collection of misty pops, ballads, and self-help hymns interspersed with synth improvs and guitar gambols. You’ll hear Ruth Garbus’s melodious compositions floating through echoing Brattleboro alleyways, and land at Ten Forward with a small band of friends. Performed live with a studio audience like a ‘90s sitcom, but the ecstatic cheering is only a whisper in the strings.
