This Easter weekend, we welcome a line-up of friends, family and collaborators to Unit 58 for a B2B fundraiser - including an unannounced Special Guest for a first-time b2b to only be revealed on the night. Join us for 4 x 2 hour sets from evening to night to raise vital funds for carefully selected aid and relief networks.

On February 6th, 2023, Turkey, Syria and Kurdistan were struck by two earthquakes (7.8-7.7) within twelve hours of each other. The severity of these earthquakes, the demographics of the areas affected, the unpreparedness of emergency response teams, and the harsh weather conditions dramatically heightened the consequences of this disaster. The rest of February 2023 alone saw various aftershocks and earthquakes continually striking the affected regions, in some cases measuring up to 6.4 in intensity and resulting in more destruction and loss. As a result of these earthquakes, Turkey, Syria and Kurdistan are facing an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe; millions displaced, hundreds of thousands missing, and tens of thousands confirmed dead.

We have pulled together our networks in nightlife to organise a fundraiser to support organisations and collectives that are providing direct emergency relief and aid to the survivors. The organisations chosen have gone through a due diligence process on our end to ensure the funds go directly to those most in need.

**The legendary comedy night Arabs Are Not Funny returns to W2 with a special performance to raise money for Syria!**

In February, Turkey and Syria were hit by a series of catastrophic earthquakes. Tens of thousands of people died, and multiple more were injured and left without a home. Before this disaster, 14.6 million people in Syria needed humanitarian assistance as a result of years of destruction from conflict. By attending this special edition of Arabs Are Not Funny, you will be supporting the Hands Up Foundation to continue funding life-saving work of delivering aid to Syrian communities.

Join us for an evening of laughter in support of an important cause, as ten of the UK’s leading comedians with roots in the Arab world take to the stage, including Prince Abdi and Esther Manito.

Hands Up have been working in and around Syria for nearly a decade, funding vital health and education projects to communities where access to these services is limited, if available at all. With their partners’ expertise and experience, they have continued providing these services to vulnerable communities, when many other organisations have all but deserted this part of the world.

Arts Canteen is an arts organisation that curates and produces events, exhibitions and festivals that empower emerging, mid-career and established artists from the Arab world and beyond to tell their own stories, change perceptions, and tackle the big issues in the world in today’s world.
