Hip-hop often goes hand in hand with progression. From its inception on the New York street corners of The Bronx to the current TikTok music revolution, the genre has always been keen to evolve and expand with the times.  
Few emerging rap stars have championed this journey quite like the Orlando, Florida-born artist 454. Born Willie Wilson, his music lands somewhere between the Y2K-era style raps of Lupe Fiasco and the glitchy, post-trap tidal wave that’s been dominated by Lil Uzi Vert in recent years. Equipped with beats sweet enough to induce a sugar rush and a retro PlayStation 2-like aesthetic, Wilson stands tall in a lane of his own: take his December 2020 single ‘4 LIFE’, which features low, rumbling drum patterns and J Dilla-inspired neo-soul quirks.

WifiGawd is entirely self-possessed. His work has a singular focus: finding the most interesting and innovative young producers working, teaming up, and creating cohesive full-length projects that push the sound of rap forward. Wifi approaches this task with the same reverent and solemn sincerity that may mark a Buddhist monk, a violinist in a symphony, a Shakespearean actor. He understands his job entails marathon studio sessions, "searching day and night" for the best producers, working outside of the mainstream, and a legion of biters, but for him the joy is found in the work.  
The Uptown D.C. native’s approach to music and culture is informed by his upbringing. He was raised in the D.C. Rasta community, where the history and values of hip-hop’s first Golden Age were embedded deep into his being.

B\_X\_R\_N\_X\_R\_D: a 20 year electronic music veteran who is also a math whiz, self-taught multi-disciplinary artist, dancer, drum machine maestro and founder of Black Techno Matters.

TROVARSI: a live electronic artist specializing in modular and analog synthesis, curator and host of Transduction Signal on DubLab Radio, and also co-founder of the Southern California Synth Society.

JAHSONIC: a DC native, DJ, producer, and proud Howard Alum who got his start playing neighborhood house parties at the age of 11, was a national finalist in the 2011 Red Bull “ThreeStyle” DJ competition in Las Vegas, and moves crowds on the regular with parties throughout the city like The Main Ingredient, Onna Saturday, Sundae Sunday, and NO HYPE.

Since deep in the pandemic, when live shows were obsolete, Houseparty Presents has been building. Houseparty is a grassroots, travel based operation focused on one thing- helping the community. Benefit shows featuring local independent artists with all fund’s going straight to the local homeless community. Hell yeah!! Houseparty Presents has worked with 54 independent musicians on and off stages across the country. The driving force behind this operation is the fact that anyone can become homeless at any time. Many people want to help but don’t know how so we make it simple- come to a show with really good, live music. Sunday, June 18th we are beyond stoked to show Washington DC just what we’re all about!- Battling homelessness with bands and coming to a city near you!

Through his music he paints pictures of all colors and shapes to create a true experience for his audience. The heavy 808 based instrumentals he lays his smooth vocals over makes you feel every song a little more than usual. Staying outside of the box is his strong suit. With very popular singles already such as “No Stylist”, and “6STAR” totaling over half a million streams alone. This is just nearly the beginning for this young talent.
