Black Cherry is the first of its kind, a monthly Sideshow experience featuring some of Brooklyn’s premier drag performers giving you shows like you've never seen before! A late night Extravaganza of thrills, chills and skills that will leave you gagged, shook and astounded!

Black Cherry is the only all POC, all Trans Sideshow in existence. Historically, nonwhite and trans faces in the circus have been mostly limited to exploitation and mockery, Black Cherry is here to change that, to showcase our unique talents in the danger arts and inspire other people of color to join the sideshow.

When it comes to the fusion of drag and sideshow, we have only the illustrious Selena Surreal to thank for that! Combining these two art forms pushes both into a new category of performance art. As a black trans woman who, in our opinion, hasn't received her due flowers in either industry respectively, the least the rest of us Cherries can do is take the month of February (her birthday month) to celebrate the creator and inspiration for everything The Black Cherry Sideshow has become. Join us this Black History Month and ring in another year with the Serpent Siren and mother of Black Cherry: Selena Surreal!
