The Elephant in the Bar Room stage will be open with special guest performances & a silent disco till late. The bar & a couple of traders will be open to keep you fed & watered, but the main advantage is you can pick the best camping spot before everyone else arrives & wake up Thursday morning in the festival site rather than getting stuck in traffic. This way you're guaranteed to not miss a single minute of our epic Thursday bands... (unless you sleep in that is).

Paradise Lost guitarist Greg Mackintosh formed Strigoi a mere few days after putting his Vallenfyre side project to rest. Strigoi’s lineup sees Mackintosh on vocals, Guido Zima (Ex The Secret) on drums, Ben Ash (Ex Carcass) on guitar being rounded out by bass player Chris Casket (Ex Extreme Noise Terror and Vallenfyre). The project is named after the troubled spirits in Romanian mythology who could rise from the grave and assume an entirely different form.

 Recorded at his Black Planet studio between January and March 2019, the resultant 12-song ‘Abandon All Faith’ debut finds Mackintosh culling from his love of old-school death metal, grindcore and punk for a visceral, but cinematic offering of extreme metal. Whereas Vallenfyre was down-and-dirty, crusty and often “in the gutter,” Strigoi conjures feelings of both dread and hostility, laced with Mackintosh’s trademark lead guitar lines and biting death metal roar.  Strigoi has recently signed with Season of Mist, and released their second album ‘Viscera’ 30th of September 2022.
