Sylvester is Purgatory's first and longest running drag show — named in honor of the disco and soul legend, the singer, songwriter, and theatre actress who was a part of the Discotays and the Cockettes before having his own solo career as a musical artist.

Presented by Julie J, Paris Alexander and Voxigma Lo. For over two years, Sylvesterhas been a haven for more than 50 black drag artists and performers to push their art to deeper limits — to experiment without fear. It is a space for queer futurity, for the ancestors, old school meets new school, camp, for a good time, happy accidents, and most of all — funk.
