For November we’ll be featurin’ Reggae, Rocksteady and Ska as ever, but with an inclination towards jazzy beats, as we’re excited to be in associated with the London Jazz Festival. In celebration of this association we’re presenting you with an extended edition of The Club. We’re stoked that the legendary Jerry Dammers will be spinning for us during the early evening. The founder of The Specials and the 2 Tone Records label, Jerry’s illustrious career, has included writing many great tunes, including “Ghost Town” and “Free Nelson Mandela”. Always progressing, recent years have seen Jerry at the helm of the august, Sun Ra infused, Spacial A.K.A.. Mr Dammers promises a, “personal Jazz inclined selection.”

After the storming successes of the first 4 editions of NRG at 91 Living Room and Ronnie Scott’s, **Chiminyo** brings his improvised, live recorded album concept to Peckham Levels as part of the 2024 **London Jazz Festival**.

Bringing together some of the finest electronic and jazz musicians in London, they present a night of improvised groove & spontaneous energy (NRG).

These guys have toured the globe many times over and released music under their own names/projects and alongside many esteemed musicians, including the likes of Gary Bartz, Yussef Dayes, wizkid, Blue Lab Beats, Shabaka Hutchings, Nubya Garcia and so many more! So you know this is going to be a pure-fire night not to be missed. Remember to bring your finest NRG (energy) as these gigs are recorded and released on Chiminyo’s label NRG discs. Taking over turntable duties afterwards is London DJ **Vandorta**. An avid crate digger with a particular ear for all things funky, she has brought her eclectic musical tastes to prominent London venues such as the Jazz Cafe and KOKO; and has played festival sets at Gilles Peterson’s We Out Here and the inaugural Basket of Light Festival in Wales.
