Le groupe est entré dans l'histoire de l'industrie musicale en devenant le premier groupe non signé à entrer dans le classement des 100 meilleurs albums du Billboard grâce à une sortie uniquement numérique.

La musique est éphémère et les groupes vont et viennent. Rares sont ceux qui gardent le cap, plus rares encore ceux qui s'améliorent au fil des ans jusqu'à ce que, discrètement, astucieusement, ils livrent leur classique.

The Boxer Rebellion are a rare breed of band. Comprised of Nathan Nicholson (vocals), Andrew Smith (guitars), Adam Harrison (bass) and Piers Hewitt (drums) they have released 6 breathtaking studio albums fully independently and toured the world many times over to their fiercly loyal fanbase. Known for their soaring melodies, deeply emotive songwriting, wide-screen sonics, and world-class live performances, their music will continue to last in the hearts and minds of their listeners through the ages. They are a “must-see” live band.

Carving a singular path through indie music in the noughties and 2010’s, notably gaining worldwide notoriety as an anomalous DIY success story, The Boxer Rebellion have toured extensively. Arcing from thrilling post-grunge band to matured, cinematic alt-rockers, The Boxer Rebellion gifted the listening world, and numerous TV and film soundtracks, evocative, mood-capturing singles including Diamons, Flashing Red Light Means Go, Watermelon, Evacuate, Keep Moving, Promises and Both Sides Are Even. The band most recently released the Open Arms EP, and are currently working on new music for 2025.
