SOPHIE GREY. who writes, produces and performs her own music, is releasing a brand new album entitled “Retro Electro” - a term coined to refer to her distinct sound which EQ Music Blog has described as a mix of “hazy synths, soulful vocals, a touch of the 80s, and hints of pop/rock and hip-hop.”

An accomplished producer, SOPHIE GREY. honed her studio skills at the renowned Village Recorder Studios in Los Angeles. Her original productions - which blend live instrumentation and sparkling electronic sounds - are informed by a deep-rooted love for hip hop as well as alt-rock and R&B. SOPHIE’s previous single “Dark Lights” featuring Rolling Loud performer/rapper Robb Bank$ has already garnered over half a million streams. To record her new album, “Retro Electro” SOPHIE wrote, arranged and performed all of the parts.

When not writing and recording her own music, SOPHIE is a sought-after live and session musician. Most recently, she toured with America’s Got Talent’s Lily Meola playing piano, keyboards and singing backing vocals. SOPHIE also appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America accompanying GRAMMY-award, multi-platinum artist Shaggy on the keyboards.

The first single from SOPHIE GREY’s “Retro Electro” album is the song

“Believe in Ghosts,” the video for which sees SOPHIE delivering a modern, emotive vocal against a dramatic, chiaroscuro, California backdrop. It was directed and produced by Maximilian Stafford (Tommy Richman, Young Gravy).

Written, arranged and produced by SOPHIE GREY., the song describes an all-too-common occurrence in the modern world. “Mac Black’s” Mac Lee Anderson encapsulates it as follows in his stellar review:
