Born to a Colombian mother and Cuban father, Sophie Castillo’s output is awash with the lilt of Latin music. Her songwriting process borders on the otherworldly – sometimes unable to identify the source of her inspiration until months after the song’s laid down. It’s befitting, then, that many of the themes she explores centre around spirituality, manifestation and divinity. Her radiant voice and melting pop make this west London singer an exciting entity in the indie pop sphere.
