Mantawoman

Tid Pao is the solo effort of Margate based Tom Pitts - drummer to Insecure Men/Saul Adamczewski, Lawrence/Mozart Estate and previously of Rolo Tomassi. His music can be associated with his past and present endeavours, with an unlikely mix of anarcho-punk/pop; blended with influences of darker metal and shoegaze creating an original sound. Onstage he is joined by Charlie Hannah, Xav Clarke (both Itchy Teeth and Mozart Estate) And Elias Gargallo (Lo Barnes/Tom Vek).

"Sat in the Fog Bank" is his upcoming EP with "Missing Saturn" as the second single from it, self-released out now. This show marks the EP's release with breathtaking artwork from The Wandering Albatross.

Mantawoman is a sacred siren tempting us towards change through heartfelt musical performances. As one of the world's leading yangqin players, she combines virtuosity and versatility across a broad spectrum of music, ranging from boundary-pushing commissions and textural improvisations to original songs reminiscent of Perfume Genius and Björk.

Trained in San Francisco and Beijing, Mantawoman has toured internationally with the GRAMMY Award-winning Silkroad Ensemble and recorded on soundtracks for Marvel’s SHANG CHI: Legend of the Ten Rings and Netflix’s 1899. Videos of her playing have garnered millions of views on social media. Her talent has attracted illustrious collaborators ranging from Caroline Polachek to Yo-Yo Ma, who calls Mantawoman's work ‘courageous, passionate, truth-seeking’.
