From deep within the bowels of Van Nuys, California and born from a love of dark, interesting and heavy moody music, MAL was created a decade ago.

Peter Hollywood (bass), Kris Jung (vocals/guitar), and Brendan Reynolds (drums) - all veterans of the L.A. music scene and national touring acts -came together to write, record, and perform for their own creative passion and amusement.

Featuring current and former members of Ding Mao, Boy Hits Car, Blackcast, RFA, and The Shocrackers, MAL have been making a name for themselves as a unique and powerful trio.

Falling under the Alt Rock umbrella, MAL blend elements of Prog, Heavy Psych, Art Rock, Shoegaze Post Rock and Post Punk at times by creating memorable melodies with unique chord progressions, intense dynamics, and exciting arrangements.

In short, this power trio fills a quiet need in the market for interesting and exciting new rock with an unknown familiarity.
