After the success of the State Is Flow monthly jam night at Ninety One Living Room, this year the artists behind it have switched to a new seasonal live show format. They'll be joined by some incredibly talented friends of the flow, to celebrate their seasonal releases and showcase the artists that make up State Is Flow and beyond. And it’s a massive one for you this time - the Albert’s Favourites take-over.

In their own words, “We love creating and sharing music. Our lives are shaped by what we love.” An amazing homegrown label with a roster bursting out the scene. Anticipate vibes from beginning to end.

Headlining for us, Inês Loubet is an exciting singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose songs have a tactile-ness and guarantee to get hips moving. Her rich musical stories have led to supporting the likes of the legendary Gilberto Gil and playing sold-out shows at The Jazz Café and the Royal Albert Hall as part of BBC Proms. Joined by a live band comprised of London’s finest, they don’t stop smiling throughout and we guarantee you’ll be infected with the same ailment, from ear to ear.

In recent years she garnered support for her work from the likes of Giles Peterson, and in 2022 was a recipient of the Drake YolanDa Award. Early this year she released her debut album 'SENGA', on the South London label, Albert's Favourites. We're lucky to have hosted this artist and her incredible band at our studio and as part of our Brick Lane Jazz Festival stage takeover, and we can assure you - you're in for a real treat.

Our support act for the Autumn Show is State is Flow Songbird, Lolé Vietro. Growing up in a household sound-tracked by Sade and En Vogue, Lolé Vietro’s foundations lie between the rhythms and melodies of the 90s, finish this particular bowl of soul with a seasoning of of Italian flavour served on a fresh bed of contemporary London RnB / Jazz. Delicious. A remarkable vocalist opening for us with a stripped-back set showcasing some exclusive new songs, inspired by her forthcoming debut EP project.

And DJ’s? Absolutely! A rare and unique vinyl set by Albert’s Favourites co-founder Jonny Drops along with Miss Empire State herself, the ground-shaking DJ Queen Kong.

State Is Flow, led by Toby Corton and Maverick Quest, is the coming together of a group of artists working in Neo-Soul and Jazz, RnB and Hip-Hop and beyond. Based out of their Clerkenwell studio space, they're recording and writing while developing and curating live shows, with collaboration at the heart of what they do.

**Jay Phelps (DJ Set + Live Trumpet)**

London based DJ and trumpeter Jay Phelps has performed with some of the world’s top artists such as Wizkid, Amy Winehouse, Wynton Marsalis. Canadian-born Phelps is a household name on the international Jazz scene and his DJ sets are becoming legendary.

Phelps’ DJ set is an energetic combination of Future beats, Tropical rhythms, Amapiano, Baile funk and Soulful House, but the USP is his trumpet. Jay blends his signature trumpet sound to the music, making his sets come to life.

**Inês Loubet (DJ set)**

Inês Loubet is considered to be one of London's most exciting vocalists/multi-instrumentalists and her original compositions navigate through the influences of Jazz, vibrant Latin grooves and her native language, Portuguese. On 16th Jan she will be working her magic behind the decks of One Hundred Shortedit for an extra special Latino set.

**Lya Reis Guerrero (DJ set)**

Lya Reis Guerrero has an enriched and eclectic musical background. Her Venezuelan and Portuguese heritage alongside growing up in Latin America brings forth a distinct multicultural style. Expect to hear Latin to Rock, Afrobeat and NeoSoul.

**Juju K (DJ set)**

Brick Lane Jazz Festival Founder & Resident DJ Juju K brings the vibes with her UK jazz focussed sets touching on everything from soulful house to jazz, hip-hop, African rhythms, broken beat & UKG.
