Dragging The Needlework For The Kids At Uphole is a debut album from a promising London-based band. Index For Working Musik is a project featuring members of indie-rock formations TOY and Proper Ornaments.

As the legend goes, the concept of IFWM emerged three years ago, when the future members stumbled upon an essay on early Christian hermits while walking in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. The Velvet Underground-esque drone on their debut single Wagner invokes a sense of mystery and excitement of keeping a secret. The band elaborates on the theme of the song: “Wagner isn’t as pretentious as its title might sound, really. It’s a confusion of the random way thoughts materialise and disappear when walking. A collection of ghosts a memory retains, and a contrast of observations made by people on the street”.
