Fat Out Fest is back and we are bringing noisy queer joy to Salford. 4 days of music and visual art celebrating the underground.

This years festival is co-curated Alphaville - BBC Philharmonic - Erased Tapes - Grove - Sexquisite and takes place across venues in the City of Salford.

Fat Out Fest 2023's opening concert is a very special collaboration between London-based record label Erased Tapes and international broadcast orchestra the BBC Philharmonic at the University of Salford. Featuring performances from some of the label’s most distinctive artists - Rival Consoles, Hatis Noit, Penguin Cafe and Douglas Dare - performing reworks of their songs with musicians from the orchestra. The show is hosted by presenter Elizabeth Alker and will be recorded for BBC Radio 3’s Unclassified.
