Gary Myrick, official Texas Tornado (as designated by Buddy Magazine in Texas), Grammy nominated guitarist, singer/songwriter, and session musician par excellence, was born in Dallas, Tex. As a teenage guitarist and vocalist, he performed in Dallas and neighboring Fort Wort. Eventually, he built a significant enough reputation to replace Stevie Ray Vaughan in the Austin band Krackerjack.

He eventually made his way to Los Angeles and burst on the L.A. music scene with his classic, “She Talks in Stereo” with Gary Myrick and the Figures. His video for "Live at the Ritz in New York" received 1 million likes on YouTube and he went on to be nominated for best video of his song “Guitar Talk, Love and Drums”, on the MTV Video Music Awards.

While he has recorded ten solo albums, performed on Late Night with David Letterman and worked on soundtracks in film and television, Gary’s latest approach to recording is the EP "The Sum Of All My Sins" produced by legendary producer Robert Margouleff ( Stevie Wonder "Inner Visions", "Talking Book," ”Superstition” and Devo's classic “Whip It”). The EP contains hard and soulful renditions of "Gloria", "I'm a Man" "Death Letter ", "On The Road Again" and his own "Ode To Robert Johnson". Regarding his Robert Johnson tribute Gary said, "I feel there should be an Ode for his legendary music and life; which was recorded in the 1930s in my Home state of Texas mostly in my hometown of Dallas with some tracks also recorded in San Antonio . My songs Chorus “ A hundred years later he still wears the Crown, Ol Robert Johnson’s spirit comes a-round”.

That's Gary on vocals, all guitars, lap steel slide and bass, solidly back by incredible drummer Dusty Watson.

In the mid 80's, he took a break from his solo work to write four songs and play guitar on John Waite's "No Brakes" album, which included Waite's biggest solo hit "Missing You". It reached the top spot on the Billboard album chart. In fact Gary has contributed guitar and lap steel work with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame musicians Jackson Browne, Clash bassist Paul Simonon, ,and Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols. He has also worked with soul legend Wilson Pickett, Stevie Wonder among others.

On top of all this, his band, Havana 3AM, on IRS records, was rated number 4 on Rolling Stone's alternative charts.
