One of Stereogum’s bands to watch, For Your Health surfaced from the shadows of Ohio in 2018 to kickstart their reign of emo terror. A quintet defined by what Pitchfork calls a sense of “gleeful antagonism”, 2018’s Death of Spring (a split metalcore onslaught with band Shin Guard) and In Spite Of (2021) are pierced with blood-curdling screams and clamorous guitars. Able to transform a stage into a lair of darkness, the band have supported The World is a Beautiful Place and I am No Longer Afraid to Die.
