Celebrating the release of her debut album 'Love And Other Machines', **Mari Dangerfield** headlines 229 London for a night of catchy, synth-driven pop tunes. Support comes from FHUR ‘An artist who has been turning heads with her distinctive and eclectic dark pop style’ CLOUT and the unique **Kingston University Stylophone Orchestra** whose album was "… one of the most heartwarming feelgood albums of the year" - Bob Fischer's review of Stylophonika (Electronic Sound Magazine, 2022).

**Mari Dangerfield** is an artist, producer, writer and musician from London. With a knack for fragile songs bursting with originality, her sound is consequently hard to define. Calling it 'Quirkpop of the mind, body and laptop' her productions are characterised by rich vocal harmonies, catchy hooks and cinematic arrangements. To date, she has received support from The Frank Skinner Show and BBC 6 Music and a range of independent media. In 2022, Mari was shortlisted to play Truck festival's main stage and supported 80s legend Tiffany's London date at The Slaughtered Lamb, and she has since played dates at The Amersham Arms and The Lexington. Her debut album 'Love And Other Machines' releases via Dimple Discs on 3rd February 2023. **FHUR:** London dark pop artist, producer and songwriter FHUR crafts moody tracks with electronic and industrial influenced sounds and beats. Dark, hypnotic synths and sultry vocals create melancholic, longing atmospheres. The blur between what is real and what is not is at the core of her tracks, creating a grey space where dreams, desires and reality coexist.

**KUSO:** An ongoing experiment in collective noise making, the Kingston University Stylophone Orchestra was created in 2019 when Dubreq (the company that manufactures the Stylophone) donated a car boot full of instruments to the University’s music dept. Now expanded to include other hand-held, battery-powered (cheap) synths, the Stylophone Orchestra released their debut album Stylophonika in early 2022, featuring new arrangements of classic electronica from the likes of Vangelis, Wendy Carlos, Jean-Michel Jarre, and Brian Eno. They also write and arrange their own stuff, they sing, and have had their music played on BBC Radio 6Music, and have been featured in Electronic Sound magazine. Their very first recording was produced by studio legend Tony Visconti, a cover of David Bowie’s ‘Space Oddity’ on the 50th anniversary of the song’s release. The Kingston University Stylophone orchestra is believed to be the only ensemble of its kind in the world.
