Dusky

Bugged Out! - one of the longest running club nights in the UK - mark their 30th anniversary at Drumsheds on 9 November with a DJ set from The Chemical Brothers alongside Modeselektor (DJ set), Octove One (live) and many more.

The club night started in November 1994 at Manchester Sankeys Soap and has since been a breeding ground for cutting edge acts that are now household names: The Chemical Brothers and Daft Punk played live in the first year, there were early UK shows for Green Velvet and Derrick Carter, residencies from Erol Alkan and Dave Clarke and regulars visits from the likes of Miss Kittin, Boys Noize, Tiga and Hot Chip.

As they celebrate 30 Years of Bugged Out, expect a lineup worthy of this huge landmark.

Dusky are London born production/DJ duo Alfie Granger-Howell and Nick Harriman. Initially gaining recognition during the UK’s 2011 house renaissance, Dusky have since established a diverse, inimitable sound that draws on everything from hardcore and Detroit techno to ambient, progressive house, jazz, and other more experimental musical forms.

With a string of releases on their own 17 Steps imprint that earned support across BBC Radio 1 and publications such as RA and Mixmag, Dusky have recently returned with a stellar 3 track EP on Gerd Janson’s Running Back label. With more 17 Steps and Running Back releases on the horizon Dusky’s reputation as one of the benchmark acts on the UK underground scene is set to continue.
