Clay Foot

CLAY FOOT are a 6-piece band from London. They’ve taken their uptempo atonal punk sound

around the city to places like The Jazz Cafe, The Windmill, Portico Studios and The British

Library.

The group was formed by the lyricist and bass player CATO, who is a painter and self taught

musician. Other members include guitarist Owen Nicholson, and saxophonist Isaac Robertson

who are part of a duo called Wonder Cure. Isaac specialises in improvisational sounds, working

with harpist Miriam Adefris, pianist Jack Elliot and the band Soft Play. On synths are the

multifaceted producers Jago Sagar and Oli Ballantine. And Ben Grose on drums is the latest

addition to Oscar Jerome’s new band.

When they play together CATO’s punchy vocal style is met by dissonant wailing and heavy

drum patterns. They are all part of a wider collective called Parade!, who are scheduled to

release their debut mixtape in early 2025.
