Chris Powe is a saxophonist, bandleader, and composer born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He played in school, as well as at the Fernando Pullum Community Arts Center in Leimert Park. Chris then attended and graduated with a degree in Music Business from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Since returning to Los Angeles, he has been gigging extensively and has completed his four month residency with the Leimert Park Jazz Festival in their new “Sunday Jazz at Ora” series. He is now currently working on his debut EP which is set to come out later this year.
