Pulsing from the nerve center of Jellowstone Studios in Richmond VA, Butcher Brown takes careful note of the history and legacy of jazz and throws caution to the wind. Their musical vibe blends jazz with hip hop, funk, rap, rock and soul. The group honors each musical genre and, at the same time, challenges traditional musical boundaries. The result is their most exciting collection of tracks to date. Butcher Brown features Tennishu, Morgan Burrs, Corey Fonville, Andrew Randazzo, and DJ Harrison.

**We are thrilled to present this exclusive double bill at J.A.W featuring Pink Siifu´s latest project B. Cool-Aid and Richmond very own Brucher Brown, back in town after their previous sold-out show in Berlin.**

Prolific rapper Pink Siifu and producer Ahwlee are B. Cool-Aid, specialize in suave, crackly music that exists somewhere in between Butcher Brown’s live-vibe, The Soulquarians and A Tribe Called Quest–style boom-bap. The duo just released the album Leather Blvd this year featuring the likes of Liv.e, Butcher Brown, Jimetta Rose, V.C.R or Maurice II.

Butcher Brown is a five groove merchants delivering a heady home-brew of jams, rhymes and beats—a funky, musical mix that makes one question why great music needs to be labelled as this category or that. Their balance of raw energy and smooth sophistication, edgy improvisation with a generous dose of Southern roots (South coast hip-hop to Southern Rock) reveals how equal opportunity they are in employing a wide range of musical styles, and how authentically they‘ve absorbed it all
