A musical maverick whose original works are frequently heard on radio throughout UK, Europe, Australia, and North America, Chen effortlessly blends sensitivity and virtuosity on the piano with refreshing and playful textures drawn from synths, electric piano, and found sound.

Inspired by the rich diversity of melodies and textures found in nature and cityscapes alike, each performance by Belle is a unique musical journey full of surprises: imaginative, colourful, and warm-hearted.

With an indescribable musical language that touches on classical, jazz, experimental, and world genres, this evening in the Elgar Room offers a rare opportunity to see Belle Chen at play up-close. She will perform new pieces from her upcoming release alongside her catalogue.

Taking place in the Elgar Room, the Steinway Series will be starring exceptional artists from the worlds of classical music and jazz. The Elgar Room is the Royal Albert Hall’s versatile contemporary performance space. It's steeped in history and a great way to enjoy live entertainment at the Hall beyond the main stage.
