Baby Cool

Mariant le psychédélisme au folk et à une touche de country, Baby Cool est le dernier projet parallèle de la cofondatrice de Nice Biscuit, Grace Cuell. "Les chansons sont profondément sentimentales. J'ai besoin de chanter beaucoup de choses pour m'aider à donner un sens à cette capsule terrestre qui m'a été donnée. Si en chantant ces mots à haute voix, je peux aider d'autres personnes à trouver du réconfort en sachant que nous sommes tous ici à nous agiter dans le cosmos, alors cela me fait du bien". - Cuell

Au début de l'année, Baby Cool a pris la route avec le Babe Rainbow, se produisant sur les scènes renommées du Princess Theatre (Brisbane) et du Metro Theatre (Sydney). Avec un groupe composé de membres de Nice Biscuit, The Flamingo Jones et Cigarny Weaver, il n'est pas surprenant que ces concerts aient été accueillis par des critiques élogieuses. Baby Cool devrait sortir sa musique dans le courant de l'année sur Virgin Music Australia, Greenway Records (États-Unis) et Bad Vibes (Royaume-Uni).

\+ Nice Biscuit

Nice Biscuit est un groupe de cinq musiciens folk psych formé à Brisbane en 2016. Le groupe a remporté le concours Triple J Unearthed Bigsound en 2017, gagnant un créneau de présentation à la conférence, où il a été surnommé l'un des "10 meilleurs actes" du festival par Triple J. En 2018, Nice Biscuit a sorti deux singles sur le label Inertia, Break Even Recordings : Captain et Fairfield of Dreams. Ils se sont lancés dans deux tournées en tête d'affiche pleines à craquer et ont obtenu des places convoitées en première partie de The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Growlers, Allah Las, The Murlocs et Jen Cloher. Ils ont également honoré les scènes d'un certain nombre de festivals australiens, dont A Festival Called Panama et Jungle Love. Nice Biscuit a émergé du Covid pour sortir l'EP Create Simulate en janvier 2021, avec les singles Fem Chem, Candle et Limbs. Leur deuxième EP, Passing Over, est sorti seulement 8 mois après le premier, avec les singles Passing Over, The Tower et Round and Round.
