And So I Watch You From Afar

Nach dem im europäischen Umland bereits viele gängige und alteingesessene Festivals im Bereich Postrock, Postpunk und Noise existieren, gibt es nun mit dem Red Forest Festival in Dortmund und Berlin ein neues. Fans dieser Genre können sich mit And So I Watch You From Afar auf instrumentalen Postrock aus Belfast als Headliner freuen. Nur mit Gitarre, Bass und Drums instrumentiert, vermögen sie es tatsächlich, Songs epischen Ausmaßes zu kreieren, die eine geballte Ladung Wut in sich tragen. Schnell vergisst man da, dass ihr Sound ohne Vocals auskommt. ASIWYFA spielen dermaßen energetische Live-Sets, da würde Gesang wohl nur von der wahren Materie ablenken: virtuose und knochenharte Gitarren- und Rhythmusarbeit.

Bo Ningen und Arabrot sind ein wenig die Exoten im Lineup. Eine wilde Mischung aus Hardcore Punk, Sludge und Industrial verschmelzen die Musiker gekonnt und lassen viele Fans nach ihren Live Auftritten sprachlos zurück. Tickets gibt es für beide Städte an allen bekannten VVK Stellen.

And So I Watch You From Afar were born from freezing cold winters on the northern most tip of Ireland. They play raw, charging, experimental music that is hard to define. Sometimes angular and noisy, sometimes pulsing, euphoric, overwhelming. The joy, the power, the escapism found in their live shows is fabled. In 2006 they jumped in the van and didn’t stop. Across Europe, USA, Russia, Asia, Central America, Australia, touring relentlessly, they’ve slowly built a cult following around the world. The true spirit of independence, the definition of DIY, Arte Povera, of realness and resolve.

Off the back of sold out Jettison shows in 2022 and a sold out Irish run in Dec including their huge home coming show in Belfast's brand new Mandela Hall, ASIWYFA and ATC Live are delighted to announce the band’s much anticipated return to touring in Europe and the UK which will see the band return from the seated theatres of Jettison to the familiar chaos of the venues where they’ve built their reputation.

Portals Festival 2023 is our biggest edition yet. We're delighted to reveal that we will be expanding and taking over EartH in Hackney for Portals Festival on the 27th & 28th May 2023. We will use the Hall (stage 1), Theatre (stage 2) and Bar (stage 3). Featuring 35 artists across 3 stages and 2 days, this makes Portals Festival one of Europe's largest alternative music events. As usual, we will be showcasing the best alternative, experimental, math, prog and post rock around. EartH Hall and Theatre have level wheelchair access with an accessible bar, and have accessible viewing areas. EartH is a signatory of the Women’s Night Safety Charter and Good Night Out. Please note the final price includes additional booking fee + venue restoration levy.
